Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using the Pilldor mobile application (“App”).

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the App.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using Pilldor, you confirm that:

You are at least 16 years of age
You have read and understood these Terms and our Privacy Policy
You agree to comply with these Terms

2. Description of the App

Pilldor is a personal medication management application that allows you to:

Log and organize your medications
Set and manage medication schedules and reminders
Track your medication intake history
Receive local reminders on your device

Before the first real save of medications, schedules, intake history, or related notes, the App requires your explicit in-app consent for the health-data processing needed to provide its core medication tracking features.

Pilldor is available as a free application with an optional paid subscription called Pilldor Plus. The free tier includes full medication tracking, scheduling, and reminders on a single device. Pilldor Plus unlocks multi-device access. See Section 10 for subscription details.

3. Service Provider

Pilldor is operated by Manuel Arrabito.

In these Terms, the references “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to Manuel Arrabito as the operator of Pilldor.

Mandatory legal identity details (trader status, address, and direct contacts) are published in the Legal Notice.

4. Not Medical Advice: Important Disclaimer

PILLDOR IS NOT A MEDICAL DEVICE AND DOES NOT PROVIDE MEDICAL ADVICE.

The App is designed as a personal organizational tool to help you remember to take medications you have already been prescribed. It does not:

Diagnose any medical condition
Recommend medications or dosages
Replace the advice of a qualified healthcare professional
Guarantee that you will take your medication at the correct time

Always follow the instructions of your doctor, pharmacist, or other qualified healthcare professional regarding your medications and health. Pilldor is only a personal organizational tool. It does not replace professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it cannot guarantee reminder delivery or that you will take medication at the correct time.

If you have a medical emergency, contact emergency services immediately.

5. User Accounts

5.1 Guest Access

You may use the App without creating a linked account through anonymous authentication (“guest” or anonymous mode). In this case, your data is associated with an anonymous identifier and may be lost if you uninstall the App or clear your data without first linking your account.

5.2 Account Registration

You may use the App through anonymous authentication or create a linked account by signing in with Google or Apple. You are responsible for:

Providing accurate information
Maintaining the security of your account credentials
All activity that occurs under your account

5.3 Account Deletion

You can manage account deletion and consent choices in Settings > Privacy & Legal. If you delete your account, your personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. If you withdraw the explicit consent required for medication tracking and related health-data processing, Pilldor can no longer provide the service, and your account and related data will be deleted.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

Use the App in any way that violates applicable Italian or EU law
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users’ data
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
Use the App to transmit any harmful, offensive, or unlawful content
Attempt to circumvent any security measures in the App

7. Intellectual Property

The App and all its content, features, and functionality (including but not limited to graphics, animations, text, and code) are owned by Manuel Arrabito and are protected by Italian and international copyright and intellectual property laws.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

8.1 Service Availability

We strive to keep the App available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free service. We are not liable for any downtime, data loss, or service interruptions.

8.2 Notification Reliability

The App uses local device notifications to remind you to take your medications. We cannot guarantee that notifications will be delivered in all circumstances, including when:

Your device is turned off or in low-power mode
Notifications have been disabled by your device operating system
The App has been force-quit or restricted by the OS

You are solely responsible for taking your medications. Do not rely solely on the App for critical health management.

8.3 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Manuel Arrabito shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App, missed or delayed reminders, or loss of data.

Our total liability arising out of or relating to the App or these Terms shall not exceed the greater of €100 (one hundred euros) or the total amount you paid for Pilldor Plus during the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our act or omission, or for willful misconduct or gross negligence.

9. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with third-party services including Google Firebase (for authentication and data storage), Apple and Google sign-in providers, and RevenueCat (for subscription management and entitlement verification). Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these third parties.

10. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

10.1 Pilldor Plus

Pilldor offers an optional paid subscription called Pilldor Plus. Pilldor Plus unlocks multi-device access, allowing you to use your account on multiple devices simultaneously. The free tier limits linked accounts to a single active device at a time.

10.2 Pricing and Availability

Pilldor Plus is available as a monthly or annual auto-renewable subscription. Prices are set in the Apple App Store and may vary by region or currency. The applicable price is displayed before you confirm the purchase.

10.3 Auto-Renewal

Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually) unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your App Store account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price.

10.4 Managing and Cancelling Your Subscription

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store account settings on iOS: Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to Pilldor Plus features until the end of the period you have already paid for. No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of a subscription period.

Deleting your account or withdrawing consent in Settings > Privacy & Legal does not automatically cancel an active App Store subscription. Subscriptions continue to be managed by Apple through your App Store account settings and remain active until you cancel them there.

10.5 Refunds

All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. Refund requests must be directed to Apple in accordance with its refund policy. We do not process payments or issue refunds directly.

11. Device Access Policy

To ensure fair use, Pilldor applies the following device access rules for linked accounts (Google or Apple sign-in):

Free tier: One active device at a time. You can transfer your session to a different device at any time.
Pilldor Plus: Multiple devices allowed simultaneously.
Guest mode (anonymous): No device restrictions apply.

12. Changes to the App and Terms

We reserve the right to:

Modify, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time, with or without notice
Update these Terms at any time

When we make material changes to these Terms, we will update the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at our sole discretion, without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device.

14. Governing Law and Complaints

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Italy, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Italy. If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you may also benefit from any mandatory protective provisions of the law of your country of residence.
